Speaker Profile:
Professor Emeritus Takahiro Fujimoto is a leading Japanese scholar in management studies. He served as Professor at the Graduate School of Economics, the University of Tokyo (1999–2021), and is currently a Professor at the Business and Finance Research Center, Graduate School of Management, Waseda University. He is also Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo.
His areas of expertise include manufacturing management, production engineering, and evolutionary economics. He is well known for his research on manufacturing systems and production management methods in the manufacturing industry, including the Toyota Production System.
