The Korean Supreme Court rendered its decision dismissing NGK's appeal in the patent infringement action

As announced in the press release of January 25, 2017 reporting the filing of the appeal against the Korean Patent Court's decision with the Korean Supreme Court in the pending infringement action, we launched the appeal against the Patent Court's decision which had affirmed the lower court's findings of non-infringement by MiCo Ltd. on January 20, 2017. After years of deliberation, however, the Korean Supreme Court on July 10, 2019 dismissed the appeal.
As a basic corporate policy, we will continue to protect our IP rights and respect others' rights, and we will take necessary measures to prevent patent infringement by third parties.
