Ultra-Thin and Compact Lithium-ion rechargeable battery “EnerCera battery” series

EnerCera is a Li-ion rechargeable battery with original Crystal Oriented Ceramic Plate as electrodes. It realizes high energy density and low internal resistance with a small and thin body and is capable of high-temperature installation.

Translucent Alumina Ceramics "HICERAM"

HICERAM is fine ceramics with high translucency. It is suitable for the material of arc tubes installed in high-intensity-discharge lamps, and contributes much for its longer life time and energy efficiency.

Zirconia

Zirconia (ZrO2) is used in various industrial field as a high-strength and wear-resistant material. It can be used for components and decorative parts of the equipment as a high-strength structural material with the texture of the surface and abundant color variation. Mold cast forming realize 3D and complicated shape without after additional machining process.

Micro-Lens for UV-LED

Ultraviolet LEDs are used in sterilizing and hardening resins. NGK Insulators has developed an extremely small lens with a reduced irradiation range that improves the LEDs' sterilizing effect. These lenses utilize quartz glass with superior transparency and durability, allowing them to produce complex shapes that were formerly difficult to achieve.

Ceramic package with built in semiconductor contribute electronics evolution of wideband communication speed in the future as well as miniaturization and high functionality.

AMB and DCB Substrates for Power Modules

These circuit boards combine the superior heat dissipation and electrical conductivity of copper with the excellent insulation performance of ceramics. They can carry large electrical currents and have high dielectric strength, and can be optimally designed for industrial and automotive applications.

Capacitance Sensor

This sensor detects changes of capacitance/impedance. Application examples are liquid level and concentration sensors, condensation sensors, gas sensors etc. Since the detection electrode is protected by ultrathin ceramic layer, it can be used in harsh environments such as acids, alkalis, and other highly corrosive chemicals and gases.

NGK realize ceramic micro heater with complex shape embedded heater electrode without after-processing and adhesive. It can be developed in various uses which requires selective heating for micro area from small electronic devices to large manufactureing equipment.
