Patent infringement action filed in Korea concerning NGK's patent on a heater for semiconductor manufacturing equipment

NGK INSULATORS, LTD. owns a Korean patent covering a heater for semiconductor manufacturing equipment (Korean Patent No. 283600). On September 17, 2014, NGK filed an action for patent infringement against MiCo Ltd. with the Seoul Central District Court, seeking to enjoin MiCo from manufacturing and selling in Korea the patented heater for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. NGK believes that intellectual property rights are a very important management resource, and thus plans to actively pursue all necessary measures to address any acts by others that infringe our patents.
