Outline of NGK's Exhibit

Chip-type Ceramic Secondary Battery "EnerCera" Series

EnerCera is a Li-ion secondary battery with NGK's original Crystal Oriented Ceramic Plate as electrodes.
The energy density is double and the internal resistance is less than a half compared to commercial secondary batteries of the same size. EnerCera is anultra-small/ultra-thin onboard-type high-performance battery for operating ICs, sensors and a wireless communication system which needs large current such as several 10 mA to several 100 mA.

Zinc Rechargeable Batteries

Stationary type battery with high capacity and safety.
Acquired the world's first-ever UL verification mark for battery safety.
Realizing high energy density at least equal to a stationary type lithium-ion battery. (200 Wh or more per liter of battery volume)
Aqueous solution is used as electrolytic solution, rather than a flammable organic solvent.
So, the product has high safety and high flexibility for installation sites. Enable reasonable cost by using zinc on negative electrode.

Bonded Wafer for SAW Filter Application

By bonding silicon that has low thermal expansion and high quality single crystal piezoelectric substrate, we make it possible to improve thermal behavior without affecting its function. With NGK's polishing technology, thickness of piezoelectric layer can be adjusted with high precision.

Gallium Nitride (GaN) Wafers

Enabling unprecedented ultra-high brightness in lasers and LEDs, which can be used as light sources in applications such as projectors and stadium lighting.

Micro-lenses for Ultraviolet LEDs

NGK developed an extremely small lens with a reduced irradiation range that improves the LEDs' sterilizing effect. These lenses utilize quartz glass with superior transparency and durability, allowing them to produce complex shapes that were formerly difficult to achieve.
