NGK will exhibit for the first time at Sensors Converge 2024, including application examples of EnerCera, NGK's lithium-ion rechargeable batteries for IoT sensors

June 10, 2024

NGK will exhibit at Sensors Converge 2024 (sponsored by Questex), held in Santa Clara Convention Center, USA, from June 24 to 26, 2024. Sensors Converge is an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge innovative technologies in the sensor industry. Our booth will introduce the ultra-thin and compact lithium-ion rechargeable battery series, "EnerCera", including application examples of maintenance-free IoT devices. EnerCera has been selected as a finalist for the Sensors Awards 2024.The final results will be announced on the first day of the exhibition.

Ultra-thin, compact lithium-ion rechargeable batteries ”EnerCera”

EnerCera Series is an ultra-thin and compact lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The semi-solid-state battery, using our proprietary crystal-oriented ceramic electrode plate, has the characteristics ideal for IoT sensor applications. These characteristics include high capacity, high output, high heat resistance, and long life, which were difficult to coexist with conventional lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. In addition, when combined with power delivery technologies such as photovoltaics and wireless power transfer (WPT), EnerCera enables a self-sustaining IoT device that can be used for a long time without replacing the battery. We are contributing to the miniaturization and high functionality of IoT devices such as environmental sensors, position trackers, wearables, and flexible sensor tags. NGK’s exhibit will include the products of these partner companies.
