Environmental Accounting

As an important index of environmental management, NGK conducts environmental accounting and announces the results. In addition to announcing environmental conservation costs (capital investment, expenses), economic benefits, and cost effectiveness, information on the environmental efficiency of CO2 and discarded materials has been added since fiscal 2007.

(1)Capital Investment (NGK and Group companies in Japan)

(5)Environmental Efficiency (consolidated)

In fiscal 2019, CO<sub>2</sub> eco-efficiency, which is sales divided by CO<sub>2</sub> emissions, improved by 9% compared to 2013, and discarded materials eco-efficiency, which is net sales divided by total discarded materials generated, improved by 46% compared to 2013.
