AC/DC High Voltage Test Facilities

AC 1,000KV/DC 800KV class insulator string assemblies in actual scale are carried out in the laboratory. Withstand and flashover voltage tests for insulator string assemblies can be also carried out. The observation of dry and wet corona nearly in actual is possible in the laboratory. Results of these tests have been actually reflected to the anti-corona design for actual UHV transmission lines.

Contamination Tests

Contamination tests are carried out in the laboratory. Observing characteristics of withstand voltage under various kinds of contaminated conditions such as marines ,industrial and desert etc., we research and develop insulator designs and shapes to cope with any contaminated conditions.

Impulse Tests

The tests for 1000kV class insulator string assemblies are carried out in the laboratory. We research characteristics of lightning/switching impulse withstand voltage in actual scale. Results of these tests are reflected to insulation designing in transmission/substation field.

Mechanical Tests

Mechanical tests for insulator string assemblies are also carried out in the laboratory. The results of such tests as mechanical intensity tests are reflected to mechanical designs of insulators.
